Following the statement by the Group of 23, the Ouarzazate Municipal Council unanimously approves the creation of a cultural and artistic activation space at Al Muwahhideen Square

During its extraordinary session today, Monday, the Ouarzazate Municipal Council unanimously approved the creation of a cultural and artistic activation space at Al Muwahhideen Square in the city center.

This unanimous decision comes immediately after 23 out of 31 councilors issued a statement last week denouncing the consequences of poor management by the President of Ouarzazate Municipal Council.

The council also approved a regulatory decision concerning the use of Al Muwahhideen Square, in addition to endorsing the specifications booklet for the temporary occupation of part of the square.

The "Ithran" cultural and artistic activation space project at Al Muwahhideen Square aims to create cultural, artistic, economic and tourist vibrancy.

This project is part of a comprehensive activation plan for Ouarzazate city, where other locations like Taourirt Kasbah will also undergo cultural, artistic, economic and tourist activation simultaneously with the "Ithran" space.
